Kyiv Orach Chaim Jewish Gymnasium-Boarding School No 299 (with the support of the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation)

The Orach Chaim Gymnasium No 299 in the Obolon city district of Kyiv is the first state-run school with studying Hebrew on the territory of Ukraine since the Second World War. It was opened in 1990 with the support of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine.  The JCU takes an active part in the development of the structure and educational directions of the gymnasium, provides security for the students and school buildings.

About 300 children study at the gymnasium. The children are provided with education, three times kosher meals, textbooks and transportation.
