As I visited Tzfat, I made sure to visit the tomb of Rabbi Avraham Dov Ber Auerbach of Ovritch, a descendant of the esteemed Chmielnik community in Ukraine, the rabbi wrote on Instagram.
The legacy of Rabbi Auerbach, who is known as the Bas Ayin, is amazing compassion and leadership, which continues to resonate deeply.
His teachings and spirit live on, a testament to the enduring power of Torah and the connection to our ancestral heritage.
As I stood there, I offered a prayer for the safety and well-being of the people of Ukraine, that they may be protected from harm and conflict.
May Rabbi Auerbach’s memory be a blessing, guiding us on our own paths of spiritual growth and service.
May his legacy also inspire us to work towards peace and understanding, especially for the people of Ukraine and Israel who are facing great challenges.
