In The Genius of Israel, the authors — renowned American journalist Dan Senor and Jerusalem Post columnist Saul Singer — use real-life examples involving both Israelis and visitors to the country to explore the nature of the Israeli phenomenon: a nation that has continued to develop dynamically despite a constant threat for nearly eighty years.

The Genius of Israel serves as a kind of continuation of Senor and Singer’s previous bestseller, Start-Up Nation.

According to the authors, Israel’s genius lies in its people. The Israeli phenomenon is a combination of human relationships, the ability to set aside internal disputes and unite when their common home is under threat, as well as the country’s unique Jewish education system, healthcare, and more.

“All of this together, despite all the hardships, makes Israelis among the happiest people on the planet,” said Boris Lozhkin, the President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine in commenting on the release of the new book.

The book was published by Nash Format publishing house with the support of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine, the family of Yevhen (Eugene) Zinovyevich Chernyak, and the communications agency Ideas & Strategy.

What distinguishes the Jewish Library book series is that it is the first to publish world bestsellers about Jews and Israel in the Ukrainian language.

Previously published titles in the series include: Israel: A Concise History of a Nation Reborn by Dr. Daniel Gordis; My Life by Golda Meir; Mossad: The Greatest Missions of the Israeli Secret Service and The Mossad Amazons: The Women of Israel’s Intelligence Services by Michael Bar-Zohar and Nissim Mishal; Tongue of the Prophets: The Life of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda and the Amazing Revival of Hebrew by Robert St. John; Rise and Kill First: The Secret History of Israel’s Targeted Assassinations by Ronen Bergman; and Never Alone (Fear No Evil) by Natan Sharansky.
