01/10/2025
Today, with the setting of the sun, begins the Day of Atonement — also known as the Day of Judgment. It is the most revered holiday among Jews, but its essence is applicable to all people.
On this day, the entry made in the Book of Life on Rosh Hashanah is finally sealed. For each person, the record of new deeds begins, the outcome of which will once again be reviewed a year from now.
This day is meant for reflecting on the past year and asking forgiveness from those we have hurt, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Forgive, and may you also be forgiven.
Gmar Chatimah Tovah!
A good inscription for all in the Book of Life!
Every Ukrainian has certainly earned it.
Boris Lozhkin,
President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine
