On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Babyn Yar victims, the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center prepared a special “Holocaust by Bullets” program, dedicated to the memory of those killed in 1941-1943.

“On September 29 and 30, 1941, the Nazis brutally shot 33,771 Ukrainian Jews – men, women, children – in Babyn Yar, turning this place into one of the largest mass graves in Europe,” the organizers of the program note.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Israel Reuven Rivlin, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center Natan Sharansky, Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Yaakov Dov Bleich, Head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine His Beatitude Epiphanius  and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church His Beatitude Sviatoslav, as well as the management of the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center are taking part in the Program dedicated to the memory of tens of thousands of victims.

The Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center has set its main goal to perpetuate the memory and bring the story of Babyn Yar to the present and future generations so that such a tragedy never happens again.
