An international seminar dedicated to the Holocaust Remembrance Day will be held with the support of the JCU

On January 25, on the eve of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, an online seminar entitled “The Untold History of the Holocaust in Eastern Europe.  80 Years since the Babyn Yar Tragedy” will be held in partnership with the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine.

Speakers at the seminar: Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center Natan Sharansky; Chairman of Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, Avner Shalev; Chairman of the Institute for International Diplomacy Ron Prosor; Dean of the Faculty of History of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Ivan Patryliak and many other experts in the Holocaust studies from Israel, the United States, Germany and Ukraine.

The seminar will cover various aspects of the tragedy of Babyn Yar, which became the symbol of the Holocaust in Eastern Europe that killed 1.5 million Jews.

The seminar was organized by the Abba Eban Institute for International Diplomacy at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC) in cooperation with the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
