JCU has taken part in the 7th Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism (GFCA)

From 13 to 15 July, Jerusalem hosted the 7th Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism (GFCA), organized by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs. It is one of the world’s largest platforms for discussing the situation with anti-Semitism on a global scale. The forum is held regularly, and due to the pandemic it was held for the first time in a mixed online and offline mode.

Among the high-ranking guests of the event were the Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, Minister of Diaspora Affairs Nachman Shai, President of the World Jewish Congress, member of the Bureau of the RJC Presidium Ronald Lauder, ex-director of the Jewish Agency for Israel (Sochnut) Natan Sharansky, European Commission Coordinator on Combating Anti-Semitism Katharina von Schnurbein, CEO of the American Jewish Committee David Harris, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Combating Anti-Semitism Rabbi Andrew Baker and many others.

Inna Ioffe, Director of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine, has also taken part in the work of the 7th Global Forum.

As a result of the sessions, a plan of work of the international community and Jewish organizations in the sphere of countering anti-Semitism has been prepared.
