JCU statement about anti-Semitict act in Romania

An outrageous act of anti-Semitism has taken place this week in Romania: the vandals got into the Jewish cemetery and destroyed 73 headstones. Jewish Confederation of Ukraine stands together with World Jewish Congress and Federation of Jewish Communities of Romania in condemning this act of vandalism and we hope Romanian authorities will bring the perpetrators to justice swiftly.

«To vandalize graves is a low act and a vile thing. We hope that the Romanian authorities will find the vandals and do everything possible to prevent such crimes in the future»,— said Boris Lozhkin, President of JCU.
