JCU statement on rocket attacks on Israel

The Jewish Confederation of Ukraine is alarmed by the ongoing rocket attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip since the morning of November 12.

Reports of shelling began to arrive at 6 in the morning. Until 9.00, terrorists fired more than fifty missiles. As of noon, the shelling did not stop. There are people injured. All public and a significant part of private institutions have been closed. Israeli authorities are asking residents to shelter until the attack stops.

«We express our solidarity with Israel during this difficult time and expect a decisive reaction from the international community. We must stand in solidarity against terrorists in order to prevent them from dictating their conditions to the civilized world» — stated JCU President Boris Lozhkin, who is on a working visit to Israel these days.
