Three books will be published in the “Jewish Library” by the end of the year – Boris Lozhkin during a discussion with Daniel Gordis at the Lviv Book Forum

The Lviv Book Forum hosted a presentation of the book “Israel: A Concise History of a Nation Reborn” by Dr. Daniel Gordis and a discussion “Nation Reborn. Lessons of Israel for Ukraine”.

This book is the first in the “Jewish Library” series, founded by the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress and the Ostrozky Princes Foundation of the family of Yuriy and Iryna Lutsenko. The first translations into Ukrainian of the world’s best works about Israel and its brightest representatives will be published in the Jewish Library series.

According to the President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine Boris Lozhkin, “Israel: A Concise History of a Nation Reborn”, which opened the series in the publishing house “Our Format”, most fully and at the same time succinctly reveals the history of the creation of one of the most successful states in the world, in the emergence and formation of which immigrants from Ukraine have been directly involved.

The next book in the series will be “My Life” by Golda Meir, who was born in Kyiv and was the fourth Prime Minister of Israel.

Before the end of the year, one more book be published in the Jewish Library – “Mossad: The Greatest Missions of the Israeli Secret Service”.

Publication of the best works about Jews and Israel in Ukrainian in the Jewish Library series will continue next year.

The discussion has been also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the State of Israel Yevgen Korniychuk, CEO of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Chaim Ben Yaakov, founder of the Ostrozky Princes Foundation Yuriy Lutsenko and founder of the publishing house “Our Format” Vladyslav Kyrychenko.
