“Tatzpitaniyot” is the Hebrew name for a camera monitors surveillance unit formed entirely of women.

Sharon (name changed) was one of the “tatzpitaniyot” on duty at the Nahal Oz military base less than a kilometer away from the Iron Wall along the Gaza Strip. The wall was considered impregnable. Until October 7, 2023.

As Sharon later recalled, most of the fighters at the base were unarmed. Abnormal movements of Hamas fighters behind the wall began a few days before the attack. Then everything calmed down, also atypically.

At 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 7, 2023, cameras recorded breaches in many areas. Thousands of militants broke into Israel. The whole world saw what happened afterwards," - Boris Lozhkin said on Facebook.

"Of the entire unit of unarmed “tatzpitaniyot” only Sharon managed to escape through the toilet window of the command center. Seven women were captured. One was killed, one was later rescued. Five are still among the hundreds of hostages yet to be rescued by Israel.

One year has passed since the Hamas attack. It took 11 months to clear the Gaza Strip of the terrorist infrastructure. 154 hostages have been returned. Alive, but sometimes dead.

Northern Arrows operation is currently underway in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah militants who were also planning an even bigger and bloodier attack on Judea and Samaria on the west bank of the Jordan river.

Seventy-three years after gaining its independence, Israel again faces a challenge to its existence. However, Israel will stand and its victory will inevitably weaken the current axis of evil that is threatening Ukraine and the entire free world.“Tatzpitaniyot” is the Hebrew name for a camera monitors surveillance unit formed entirely of women.
