The worldwide coronavirus pandemic has disrupted the normal way of life, while allowing people to reveal their best qualities, considers Moshe Kantor, President of the European Jewish Congress. These are his words in a video message to the Jewish communities.

“Millions of people around the world are living in anxiety and fear, while many families have already lost their loved ones. We live in isolation, our doors are closed, but our souls have never been as open as they are today. And in these difficult times of crisis, our communities are doing everything they can to protect and help the needy,” says Moshe Kantor.

According to Kantor, the European Jewish Congress, the Security and Crisis Center and the European Jewish Fund, all of them together, have now focused all their activities on providing the necessary support to all community members of the EJC and to the neighbors, regardless of their religion or origin.

“In these difficult times, our teams are in constant contact with all our communities to provide them with everything we need,” said the EJC President.

The European Jewish Congress informs its communities about all the best methods of combating the virus, as well as provides them with the protective means and gives other assistance, including funds, to those who most need it.

“Let's make sure that people staying in isolation do not feel alone and have everything they need for the Passover, for them to be sure that they are needed and loved by their family and friends. On behalf of the European Jewish Congress, let me wish you:  Chag Pesach Kasher V'Sameach!” said Moshe Kantor.
