JCU delegation took part in the AJC Global Forum

A delegation of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine took part in the American Jewish Committee Global Forum, one of the largest conferences for the protection of the interests of the world Jewish community, held in Washington from June 4 to June 6.  The delegation included the JCU President Borys Lozhkin, Chief rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine, JCU Presidium member Yaakov Dov Bleich and the JCU Executive Director Inna Ioffe.
Every year more than 2,500 people from more than 70 countries gather to discuss the vital issues that affect the future of world Jewry.
The American Jewish Committee (AJC) is one of the oldest and most active Jewish human rights organizations established in 1906 to combat anti-Semitism and protect the rights of the Jewish population of the United States.  In 1991, AJC became the first international Jewish organization that urged President George Bush to recognize Ukraine's independence. In September 2018, the President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine Borys Lozhkin and the AJC Executive Director David Harris signed the Agreement of Association between the two organizations.
