One more book has been published in the “Jewish Library” book series. This time, for the first time in Ukrainian, the book was published “Mossad: The Greatest Missions of the Israeli Secret Service.” This has been shared on Facebook by one of the initiators of creation of the “Jewish Library Series”, the President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine and Vice President of the World Jewish Congress Boris Lozhkin.

“The authors of the book, a well-known Israeli historian and politician Michael Bar-Zohar and one of the most popular TV presenters in Israel, political observer Nissim Mishal, made a lot of efforts to compile a holistic picture of the operations, which back in the day the whole world was talking about, from the leaked fragments of information and conversations with their immediate participants. The stories turned out to be very fascinating,” related Lozhkin.

Although it needs no introduction, the Mossad has long been considered one of the most secretive intelligence agencies in the world. Lozhkin explained that Mossad means in Hebrew simply an institution. Until 1996, even the names of the directors who headed the Israeli intelligence agency remained unknown, not to mention the operations themselves.

Lozhkin also recalled that the “Jewish Library” publishes the first translations into Ukrainian of the world’s bestsellers about Israel and prominent Jews. The partners in the creation of the “Jewish Library” series were the Boris Lozhkin Charitable Foundation, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress and the Foundation of the Family of Yuriy Lutsenko.

The first book in the series was “Israel: A Concise History of a Nation Reborn” by Dr. Daniel Gordis; the second book published by “Our Format” was “My Life” by Golda Meir – the autobiography of the fourth Prime Minister of the State of Israel.

Boris Lozhkin also informs that work on the fourth book of the “Jewish Library” is already underway.
