Hundreds of leaders of the Jewish world, who gathered in New York's Central Synagogue for the American Jewish Committee Global Forum, chanted: “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!” President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine Boris Lozhkin, who also took part in the forum, witnessed this. He wrote about this on Facebook and posted a video from New York.

According to him, such a response from the audience was caused by the speech of AJC CEO David Harris, who, in his turn, reacted to Volodymyr Zelensky's address to the forum participants.

“Despite the deep night in Kyiv, the president of the country in the middle of a war took the time to address the elite of the Jewish world to urge them not to get tired of the war and to double aid to Ukraine,” Lozhkin wrote.

Harris drew attention of the forum participants to this point: “Imagine for just a moment Winston Churchill, taking the time in the 1940s to record a film for the American Jewish Committee Global Forum. That’s the importance he attaches to us, to you, to this organization. And we dare not let him down.”

He also explained a need for denazification in Moscow, not in Kyiv. “It was Moscow that engaged in what, in blitzkrieg. It was Moscow that illegally, brazenly, recklessly  barbarically invaded a sovereign country. It was Moscow that violated solemn agreements, including the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. It was Moscow that unleashed barbaric war crimes against innocent civilians. And it was Moscow that has driven millions of people away from Ukraine. It’s Moscow that needs denazification!”

“I am sure that this speech will be remembered by many,” added Lozhkin.
