The organizing committee of the mourning ceremony, dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the beginning of the shootings in Babyn Yar, has announced that the traditional mourning procession “On the Road of Death” will not take place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
For many years, we gathered on the eve of Yom Kippur for the traditional mourning procession “On the Road of Death”, dedicated to the beginning of the Babyn Yar mass shootings according to the Jewish calendar.
Given the situation with the pandemic caused by Covid-19 coronavirus infection, taking care of your health, the health of your family and friends, this year the organizers decided to refuse from the mass event and urge you to stay home,” informed the organizing committee.
